Nick (Chief Executive and Integrative Counsellor)

 

Nick has been at Aurora since it was founded in 2006 and was instrumental in setting up the charity alongside our founder (Susannah Faithfull).  In addition to helping Aurora develop and flourish in his  Chief Executive role, Nick is also a BACP registered counsellor at Aurora having qualified in 2017.  He uses an integrative and trauma-focused approach in his work with clients incorporating person-centred and psychodynamic principles.  Nick is currently working towards completing a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) Training Course at PESI UK.

In his previous career, Nick worked for 20 years in the general mental health field having qualified as a mental health nurse in 1986 and then going on to work for many years in academia and training.
