Yan (Integrative Counsellor)

Yan is a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), with specialist experience in supporting adults who have survived childhood sexual abuse. She offers a sensitive, trauma-aware space where clients can explore painful experiences safely and at their own pace.
Yan understands that the impact of childhood sexual abuse can be long-lasting and complex, often affecting self-esteem, trust, relationships, boundaries and emotional wellbeing. Her approach is gentle, collaborative and grounding, helping clients build emotional safety, reduce shame and reconnect with their inner strengths.
Drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities, Yan supports clients in navigating overwhelming emotions, making sense of their experiences and developing greater stability and self-compassion. Her aim is to help individuals move from surviving to living with more clarity, confidence and hope.
Having lived in both China and the UK, Yan brings a culturally informed perspective and welcomes clients from all backgrounds. Clients do not need to have the “right” words to begin - Yan works at a pace that feels safe and manageable for each person.
