Lucy (Person- Centred Counsellor)

 

Lucy is a qualified trauma-informed Person Centred Counsellor, registered with the BACP.

Lucy began working with counselling clients who had experienced or been affected at any time by sexual abuse, sexual violence or incest in 2015 when completing her training. Lucy has been inspired, motivated and humbled by working with male and female adults in this field for over 9 years and has developed a diverse range of knowledge and experience in exploring the many different ways that abuse and trauma affect a person's sense of self and sense of safety. Lucy’s approach provides a space for a person to discover themselves, at their own pace, free from judgement, and provide support for that person to begin to embrace their potential and regain control of their lives.

Lucy’s history also includes work as a helpline worker and supervisor of a specialist helpline supporting those affected by sexual abuse. Lucy is also a qualified Independent Sexual Violence Advisor, which involved gaining experience of supporting people through the criminal justice system.
